This page ranks models by MOT pass rate for cars first registered about 5–10 years ago, with at least 25k recorded DVSA tests each. The top of this list has the lowest share of tests recorded as a pass — not the least reliable car.

Is this the opposite of the best MOT pass-rate table?

Accepted Answer

Yes — same age band and the same minimum-test filter as the best-records table. A lower pass rate means a smaller share of recorded tests passed. It does not prove repair cost, breakdowns, or one seller’s car.
